Anti Aging Research With Simple Steps

Research On Anti Aging

Anti Aging Research The following anti aging research and anti aging news are based in simple things you can do everyday to keep you active and younger. Getting older it's something that most of us don't look forward to, but inevitably is going to happen. Of course we want to stay as young looking and feeling as well as we can for as long as possible.

Antiaging research is always in the forefront of science, and to that end, it has shown us things we can do in our own lives that can help us stay looking younger, longer -- without invasive surgery, painful injections, or other "dubious" practices to help keep age at bay.

DIET

Anti aging research has shown that in fact, your diet is one of the most important things you can pay attention to, so as to stay looking young and as part of your anti aging program.

In other words, you literally "are what you eat". If you focus on eating an anti aging diet that's full of fresh, healthy food, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, "healthy" fats like omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality proteins like lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and legumes and beans, you're going to look younger than someone who subsists on coffee, cigarettes, see smoking wrinkles , "diet shakes" and fast food.

That's because you're getting the nutrients you need; omega-3 fatty acids, for example, and proteins are essential for fresh, young looking skin that has proper skin cell turnover and therefore fewer wrinkles and better tone.

And by the way, drink your eight glasses of water a day, too. This is another thing to stay young looking, because water helps flush out toxins and gives your body the hydration needs to perform the necessary functions.

The latest anti aging discoveries show that eating less calories a day can help slow down the aging process. Restricting calories in animals show an increase in their life span. Some anti aging research suggest that the same happens with humans. Calorie restriction in humans increases memory and help with several age related diseases.

Calorie restriction needs to be done under the supervision of your doctor as you still need to get the necessary vitamins and nutrients. Don't attempt to do this by yourself or you could do more harm than good.

SLEEP

Yes, that's right. You need seven to eight hours of deep, restful sleep to stay looking young, as part of your anti aging program. Assuming you are healthy, getting more than eight hours of sleep can mean trouble according to anti aging research, though.

Getting less than six hours can also mean that you are tired, more prone to stress and illness, lowered immune function, and more prone to weight gain. (Cortisol is a stress hormone that is greatly elevated when you don't get enough sleep or when you're under great stress, and this helps you gain fat weight, around your middle, where you don't want it.) So make sure you make good restful sleep a priority, every night.

EXERCISE

Not only does exercise tone you, help you stay fit, and keep the weight off, but it actually helps your body work better. It can stave off osteoarthritis, keep you limber, lower those nasty stress hormones, increase "feel-good" endorphins, and boost your immune system. Make sure you get at least 30 minutes a day of a combination of aerobic and weight bearing exercise, and work up to an hour a day, five days a week as you get in better shape.

STAY OUT OF THE SUN -- or use sunscreen .

This is another anti ageing research fact. Although you need about 10 minutes of unprotected sun exposure a day to manufacture enough vitamin D to give you your dietary needs, the rest of the time, the sun is off limits.

You don't have to stay "out" of the sun, but do protect yourself from sun exposure by using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 (and reapply often). Sun exposure causes skin to become leathery, and can cause aging skin , wrinkles and loss of skin tone, not to mention skin cancer. And, sunscreen has an added benefit, in that it provides your skin the extra moisture it likely needs as you get older.

A really good product that I use to add extra moisture to the lips and keep eye wrinkles at bay is Caudalie AntiAging Serum Eyes and Lips . Made with natural botanical ingredients will leave lips smoother and fight off under eye puffiness and dark circles. I really love Caudalie skin care products and this one has good customer ratings too.

POP A MULTIVITAMIN

To fill in nutritional gaps, make sure you take good-quality anti aging supplements with extra calcium and magnesium (as well as vitamin D) every day. Although you can eat a good and healthy diet, you still probably aren't going to get all the trace nutrients you need from diet alone.

So for extra insurance, pop a good quality multivitamin that's going to contain trace nutrients like manganese, for best health -- and a younger age, too.

Follow these anti aging research facts and your skin, body and mind will thank you for it.
