Cosmetic Fillers

Cosmetic Fillers, Helping You to Look your Best

"Semi Permanent Cosmetic Fillers"

Alloderm

The use of cosmetic fillers is becoming more and more popular. Alloderm is a dermal filler, non animal origin, derived from donated cadaver tissue. Once is processed to remove all the cells to avoid infections, what is left is only the collagen framework. Collagen is a protein that occurs naturally in our bodies, and give strength and elasticity to the skin.

Alloderm has been used since 1992 for thousands of people around the world. Is approved and rigorously controlled by the FDA (food and drug administration in US). Alloderm is used to:
  • Fill in lines and wrinkles
  • Fill in deep creases
  • Add volume to the lips

Is injected under the skin and some local anesthetic can be applied. The area treated can experience some redness, swelling, bruising, itching,...This should be only temporary (few days), but consult your doctor if it last longer.

The result can last up to one year depending on factors such as
  • muscle activity in the area treated
  • age
  • lifestyle
  • skin care

Is understandable that you feel worry and not very happy, at the thought of having human tissue from cadaver implanted into your body. If safety is a concern, be aware that all the organs donated, as well as the medical history of the donors are meticulously investigated by the Tissue Bank in US

There is not need for a previous test, because Alloderm is derived from human tissue, and once injected into your body will gradually became part of it.

The cost of Alloderm depends on several factors:
  • area-s treated
  • amount of filler needed
  • physician fees
  • country in which the treatment is taking place
Alloderm is not a cheap cosmetic filler, because the price of the materials used is high.

New Fill or Sculptra

Sculptra or New-Fill are synthetic cosmetic fillers, non animal origin, made of poly-L- lactic acid (a substance that occurs naturally in the body). Is approved by the FDA (food and drug administration in US) for facial loss in HIV sufferers.

These cosmetic injections are used to:
  • give volume to some parts of the face that have lost fat such as cheeks
  • treat hollowed eyes
  • fill in wrinkles, folds and creases
  • treat scars
  • improve facial contours
  • treat aged hands

New fill or Sculptra act by stimulating new collagen production, see collagen information , and gradually increase volume in the area treated. The results can't be seen immediately, but it will build up in the next few weeks. Is a long-lasting cosmetic filler (up to two years) and a serie of treatments (three or four) are needed to acquire the desired volume.

Anesthetic can be used to minimize pain. You can experience some redness, swelling, bruising, itching,...that will be temporary (few days), but consult your doctor if it last longer. Research shows that is very safe, and it doesn't required a test before treatment because is not from human or animal origin.

Cost depends on several factors such as
  • area-s treated
  • amount of filler needed
  • physician fees
  • country in which the treatment is taking place
To give you an idea, and bear in mind that different places, different prices:
  • USA from $450 to $600 per syringe
  • UK from £300 depending on area

Radiesse or Radiance

Radiesse (also known as Radiance) is a synthetic cosmetic inyection, non animal origin, made of microscopic particles of calcium hydroxyl apatite.

This dermal filler is used to;
  • fill in moderate and severe wrinkles, and folds like the nasolabial fold
  • fill in lines around the lips
  • create volume in areas such as cheeks, lips and chin
  • treat scars

Radiesse injection acts by stimulating the body to produce new collagen, increasing volume in the area treated. The result is long-lasting (up to two years). Because the volume will diminish with time, you will need to go back for more treatments to preserve that look.

The filler is injected under the skin and topical or local anesthetic can be applied to minimize pain. You may experience some redness, swelling, bruising, itching... that will last for few days, consult your doctor if it last longer.

There is no need for a previous test because is made of a substance present in the bones and teeth. The cost depends on several factors such as:
  • area-s treated
  • amount of filler needed
  • physician fees
  • country in which the treatment is taking place

To give you an idea, but remember that the price is not the same everywhere:
  • USA from $650 to $850 per syringe
  • UK from £350 depending on area
A very good anti aging skin care product for the eye is Pevonia Power Repair Collastine Eye Fluid , containing marine collagen and elastin and green tea that will reduce eye puffiness and fine lines.
