Facial Exercises "The Funny Face Of Sagging Skin"
"Can they make us look younger?"
Are you wondering if facial exercises do really work? A lot has been written about it; in favour and against. Is there any scientific evidence that they are effective? No, as far as I know. All we have is the testimonials of many people who believe they work. But is this enough? I believe is enough if it works for you.

The theory behind is that contracting and relaxing the facial muscles will improve muscle tone and thus the face will be more defined and relaxed. It makes sense to think that if we exercise the muscles in our bodies to tone them up, the same will happen for the muscles in our face.
Some people will argue with that, saying that the muscles in the face are smaller and don't response to movement in the same way as the larger muscles in the body. I'm not pretending to be an expert and I can only talk for personal experience. I have my own theory and it works for me. I have been practising facial exercises for years and I can honestly say that they help my face to look tighter and oxygenated...but with exceptions.
What are these exceptions? Well I only practise the ones which don't cause my skin to wrinkle, because when I do those exercises my face look more lined. And in fact, if facial expressions give you
fine lines and wrinkles
over time, it makes sense to think that the same could be applied to the facial exercises, in which you have to adopt a wrinkled expression.
I only practise the ones in which I have to keep my face relaxed or taut and work the underlaying muscles, but you don't see any lines on the skin. Sometimes with tricky exercises like the ones for the eyes, I place my fingers to each side of the corners and pull the skin slightly to avoid crow's feet.
This is only my personal experience and I'm sure it will be different for other people. For me facial exercises form part of my daily routine and I practise them twice a day; you need to be constant if you want to see a difference. Taking about this, if you really want to see a difference then
